Round Table with Handle

This piece is a development from my basic round burnt table, the handle gives extra function to the piece. It always the piece to be easily moved around the home, it can also be used to hang items or wrap and hang a lamp (refer to my lamp hooks).This piece is made from solid European oak round table, it is made using traditional carpentry techniques and tools. It has been cuts and hand planed to size, the legs have been turned and secured with tenon joints that have been wedge into position. The handle has been doweled into position to give strong durable fixing.
This piece has been finished by scorching the surface to give a rich deep black colour. The burning process brings out the character in grain and texture timber. Once the piece has cooled, the loose ash is removed with a wire brush then given 3 coats of hardwax to seal the surface and give a glossy finish.
Dimensions: Table top height is 45cm, to top of the handle is 65cm.
Note: if you want to hang a lamp for the handle please let me know in the order notes and I will notch out the handle to allow to hang (refer to lamp hooks).
As with all my pieces it can be made in many sizes, timber and finishes, please contact me and I can give you a quote for your specific piece.
